The Kempen site with its production facilities has belonged to BYK-Chemie GmbH since 2008. A sister company of BYK also previously produced here.
The plant in the Kempen industrial park "Am Selder" produces around 60 products and intermediates in three-shift operation. A large proportion of the products manufactured in Kempen are used as raw materials at other BYK sites. This makes BYK less dependent on the raw materials market and ensures efficiency in our processes and supply chain. Around 45 employees currently take care of manufacturing, quality control, filling, and production-related activities such as raw material storage, maintenance, and repair.
