Our state-of-the-art logistics center is located in Emmelsum, on the banks of the Wesel-Datteln-Canal. From here, we send our additives all over the world.
In 2008, we were able to put this logistics center in Emmelsum into operation. Around 55 colleagues work in shifts to take care of both the dispatch of finished products and the shipment of product samples.
With more than 11,000 pallet spaces, we have a high-bay warehouse in Emmelsum that enables us to ship our products anywhere and at any time. The compilation of the deliveries is mostly fully automated by conveyor technology and robots. Afterwards, the pallets assembled in this way are safely stowed in trucks or sea containers by our colleagues using forklift trucks and shipped to our customers. This process protects the health of colleagues and makes work processes safer and faster.

BYK is also internationally known for its excellent and comprehensive product sample dispatch. More than 2,600 samples leave Emmelsum every year and are sent to companies, research universities, and other institutions free of charge. The trend is rising!
All machines and procedures that we use at BYK for production and warehousing are state of the art. With support from independent, external experts, our plants are regularly tested and monitored by the authorities. We have also joined the international “Responsible Care” program. This program represents the desire to constantly improve conditions to protect health and the environment, as well as conditions for the safety of employees and neighbors – regardless of legal requirements.
