Tongling City, Anhui Province

The Tongling factory is one of BYK’s top three additive production sites in the whole world. It was established in 2002, and expansion was completed in 2019 at a capacity over twenty-thousand metric tons per year. The range of products covers surface additives, wetting and dispersion additives, defoamers, and waxes, and the portfolio currently includes 90 additives, a figure that will quickly rise to over 100 in the coming years. In future, BYK Tongling will focus on the manufacture of state-of-the-art products for our customers from China and Asia.

At present, there are 38 employees working in three shifts at the Tongling site. SAP will be used to manage all the processes from the middle of 2021. The facility is located in an area of 23,700 square meters including a workshop with twelve vessels, a tank farm with 16 tanks, two warehouses, and a utility building with boilers, cooling water, chiller water, MCC, etc.
